How to create Rosanna Davison’s soft curls in three simple steps

We caught up with hair stylist to the stars, Danielle Whelan

VIP G6

Rosanna Davison always pulls out all the stops when it comes to glamour, and last year’s Peter Mark VIP Style Awards were no different!

The stunning model brought her classic beauty to the red carpet, and sported one of our favourite looks of the night!

Peter Mark Hairstylist Danielle Whelan, who created Rosanna’s stunning look, broke down the step by step process to achieving the Hollywood curls.

Danielle’s fashion-focused eye gave Rosanna’s hair a real modern and youthful feel.  Explaining her thoughts behind the look, she said: ‘When Rosanna described her dress I instantly thought of big, beautiful, glam waves with a centre parting and a bit of texture.’

Danielle used Redken Iron Shape throughout Rosanna’s hair for heat protection, then using the GHD large barrelled soft curl tong she worked section by section, changing the direction of the curls with each section to give it a more modern look.

She then finished with Redken Shine Flash for that super red carpet shine.

Danielle’s Top Tip:

Rosanna’s look is a perfect example of when your hair and outfit choice work in harmony.

When choosing how to wear your hair for an event that you have a special dress for, it’s really important that you take into account the shape of the neckline and even the type of material the dress is made of.

If you have a strong dress shape in a structured material like the incredible gold dress Rosanna wore, a really structured up-style or super straight hair might be too much and make the overall look too hard.

The 2019 Peter Mark VIP Style Awards is on April 26th in the Marker Hotel.

There’s still time to cast your votes for Ireland’s most fashionable celebs.
