Hollywood star Mel Gibson is over in Ireland at the moment as he prepares to shoot new movie with Sean Penn, and is certainly making the most of his time here.
Mel has been scouting locations in Dublin for his new movie, Professor and the Madman, which will tell the story of the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary.
The movie will be based around the interactions between Professor James Murray, played by Mel, who was one of the earliest editors of the OED and Dr. W.C Minor played by Sean, who was a retired army surgeon and sends thousands of entries to Professor Murray, from inside Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum.
While over in Dublin looking for the perfect locations for the film, Mel Gibson has also been enjoying some down-time around the city.
The New York actor stopped off at FX Buckley Steakhouse, and was happy to pose for snaps with the staff.
The company’s Facebook page shared a picture of the star and said, “When Mel is in Dublin he eats at FX Buckley. He has kidneys and a medium rare fillet. Pictured here with Albert, our sommelier.”
We’re glad he’s enjoying himself!
