Holly Carpenter has given fans a heartfelt glimpse into her wedding day, sharing the touching first-look video she sent to her dad, who was sadly unable to join the celebrations in person.
She had already tied the knot with her partner Jamie in a legal ceremony back in Dublin in May, with her dad proudly walking her down the aisle.
But for her dreamy destination wedding in France, he couldn’t make the trip — and Holly was determined that he wouldn’t miss the moment entirely.
Through the video, her dad got a private first look at his daughter in her wedding gown, sharing in the joy and excitement despite the distance.

“The ‘first look’ video I sent my dad right before I walked down the aisle,” Holly wrote alongside the video she shared to Instagram.
“It was important to me that dad got to see me first.”
While back in May, Holly shared pictures of her father giving her away on the day with a caption that read: “A moment I have dreamed of with my dad. Love you @karlcarpo.
“Thank you so much @evndoherty for capturing this special moment that I’ll never forget.”
Holly’s father Karl is currently battling a rare blood cancer and due to treatment wasnt able to make the trip over seas.
Holly previously shared that she was horribly trolled for having two big weddings but said she has no regrets about hosting both days as her dad walking her down the aisle at her ceremony in Dublin made it “really special.”
She said: “Back in May, when Jamie and I got legally married, we were still really optimistic that he would be able to make it, but we still decided to make this Dublin wedding really special, just in case.”
