Hilary Rose of The Young Offenders opens up about feeling overwhelmed regarding recent events

Due to the ongoing pandemic and further restrictions, many of us are feeling overwhelmed at the moment, and doing what we can to brighten our days. Comedian Hilary Rose has taken to Instagram to share her current feelings, opening up to her fans and followers.

Hilary, who plays Mairéad MacSweeney on The Young Offenders, shared a pic of herself wearing bright yellow trousers and a tie-dye jumper, explaining that she wanted to wear something she loves because she’s been feeling “overwhelmed” lately.

In the post, she wrote “I’ve no doubt most people including myself were feeling a little overwhelmed with recent nationwide events and left thinking what’s next?!

“I know I can’t control the events so what can I control? For me it all comes back to LOVE. LOVE CONQUERS ALL.”

She continued, sharing the reason behind her bright clothing choices, “So today I’m wearing yellow cords, a tie-dye jumper, rainbows socks and a big smile.” We love this, a bright outfit is certainly one way to brighten up your day.

“I’m planting my feet firmly on the ground and taking a deep breath. You/me/we all got this.”

Fans and followers flocked to the comments, enjoying Hilary’s uplifting mood. One wrote, “WHAT A WONDERFUL THING TO SAY!! and as the saying goes ‘LOVE is what makes the world go round'”, while another commented, “One smile to a single person could make their day!!”
