He may be scooping up every award going these days, but there seems to be one thing the legendary star can’t do, and that’s pronounce Irish names.
After bagging yet another award at the SAG’s last night, Leonardo DiCaprio struggled to pronounce his co-star, Domhnall Gleeson’s name.
During his acceptance speech, the star said, “The film would not have been possible without the craft of our director, Alejandro González Inárritu. Alejandro, thank you for your fierce authenticity, your creative genius, a genius you share with your cinematographer.
“Our entire crew, the entire crew I got to work alongside – Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter, Forrest Goodluck, Arthur RedCloud, Duane Howard and of course, the great Tom Hardy.”
Unfortunately for Leo, when he thanked Domhnall, it came across as “Dumble” – which we hope the Irish star can laugh it off.
