Ed Sheeran has revealed why he had to scrap his original idea of shooting the music video for Galway Girl in Dublin.
The 26-year-old has been in Salthill this week recording the video, however that wasn’t always his plan.
Speaking to Cooper and Luke on 98FM’s Big Breakfast this morning, he admitted that while he had hoped to film in the capital, decided against it as he thought it might have get a “bit dangerous” in the city and that it was “going to cost a fortune to get the police.”
The star enjoyed the filming process in Galway, thanking the “wonderful people” of the West for their hospitality during his time there.
Ed performed a sold-out show in Dublin’s 3Arena last night, and will take to the stage again this evening.
