Following the quick sell-out of their Croke Park concert which is set to take place next year, fans have been shocked to learn that Coldplay won’t be adding a second date.

MCD chief Denis Desmond has confirmed that despite rumours of another Irish show, it certainly won’t be happening, even though fans begged for another gig.

The band sold out Croke Park last Friday morning within 30 minutes, and while 80,000 Irish fans will get to see Coldplay, people hoped for another show.

The MCD manager revealed that the band simply don’t have the time to play another concert, and there’s nothing that can be done about it.

“There won’t be a second Coldplay gig in Dublin. They don’t have the time.

“The band is playing only 15 gigs in Europe next Summer, and only two in the UK.”

Those who did manage to get their hands on tickets last week, must be feeling incredibly lucky.
