Ryan Tubridy has revealed his hopes to return to work next week, following his recent Covid19 diagnosis.
The presenter tested positive for Coronavirus last week, and while he come out the other side, doesn’t want to take any chances for another few days.
“I am very grateful to be through this virus, and, to keep safe I will be adhering to best practice and not be returning to work until next week,” he said.
“I want to thank everyone for their good wishes over the past number of days.
“I am acutely aware that other people are going through much more serious pain and I want to send them my warmest wishes at this difficult time.”
Ryan also shared his gratitude with colleague Miriam O’Callaghan, who has stepped in to present the show in his absence.
“Miriam did a great job last Friday, as I’m sure she will tonight night too,” he said.
“I want to thank her and the team for keeping the show on the road.”
During tonight’s Late Late Show, Miriam will be joined by an incredible line-up of guests.
She’ll be chatting to Love Island host Laura Whitmore, country star Philomena Begley plus The Dubliner’s musician John Sheahan.
Gavin James will be in studio to perform a number of songs and attempt to raise vital funds for ALONE.
Plus, online fitness instructor Joe Wicks will join Miriam for a chat about the importance of keeping your mind and body active during this time.
