Joanna Donnelly has delighted fans, revealing she should be back on our screens over the coming weeks.
The RTE star has been working on another very important gig in the aviation field, providing meteorological intel and advice for the continued safety of aircrafts.
“My first SIGMET. On my second shift as an operational aviation forecaster,” she said on social media.
When asked by a fan if or when she’ll return to RTE, Joanna said, “I’ll be back. Currently it looks like later in March.”
She added, “All going well, March, but you know the saying; man plans, god laughs. Anyway just bought a new dress for the occasion so hopefully. Nice to be missed!”
It’s been a big adjustment settling into night shifts, but Joanna joked that it has one major perk: “Climbing into bed while the wind howls around you and someone else deals with the breakfast dishes.”
Earlier this year Joanne broke her toe, meaning she couldn’t keep up with her regular routines or get out for exercise during lockdown.
She found it incredibly difficult, but thankfully she’s on the mend now.
“I miss walking so much. I can’t go out for a breath of fresh air. For a run to clear my head. To the beach for some soul food. I’m feeling extremely sorry for myself right now,” she said.
