Here’s when Barry Keoghan’s next movie is hitting the silver screen

The countdown to Barry Keoghan’s next film is well and truly on.

And we can’t wait!

Yes, Bird, the new film from Oscar-winning writer-director Andrea Arnold will receive its Irish premiere at Dublin’s Light House Cinema later this month on Tuesday 22nd October with the director herself.

Starring alongside Barry is Franz Rogowski as well as newcomers Nykiya Adams and Jason Buda.

It officially opens in Irish cinemas on November 8th.

So what’s it all about?

According to the official synopsis, BIrd is an examination of life on the fringes of society.

“Twelve-year-old Bailey (Adams) lives with her single dad Bug (Keoghan) and brother Hunter (Buda) in a squat in North Kent,” the synopsis reveals.

“Bug doesn’t have much time for his kids and Bailey, who is approaching puberty, seeks attention and adventure elsewhere…”

Aside from his latest career endeavours, we must admit, we here at VIP Towers are also big fans of Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan’s relationship!

Just recently in an in-depth interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Sabrina was asked why, if she wanted to keep her romance out of the public eye, would she put Barry in her music video for Please, Please, Please.

“I am genuinely, like a not even biased opinion, was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’,” she confessed.

“And he was next to me, in a chair, and he was so excited about it.” How sweet!

You can catch Bird in Irish cinemas from Friday 8 November.
