This coming Sunday, Dancing with the Stars is set to look a little bit different to our usual show. At the weekend presenters Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne shared that the next instalment of series five will be ‘Dedicated Dance’ week.

Next Sunday’s show will see all nine celebrities dancing once again but the difference is that there will be no elimination. Instead it will be an extra special episode as each celebrity couple will be dedicating their performance to an important figure in their lives.

This weeks show saw Aengus Mac Grianna as the third celebrity to be eliminated from season five of RTE’s Dancing with the Stars. The former newsreader performed a jive to Billy Joel’s ‘All Shook Up’ on Sunday night with pro-dancer, Emily Barker which scored them a 17 with the judges.

The pair received mostly positive feedback from the judges with Loraine sharing; “Totally in the zone there, in your element. Used prop really well. Twinkle toes – a little bit. A good jive.” Aengus was in the bottom two with former jockey, Nina Carbery on Sunday night and the combined score from the judges and the public vote was not enough to save him and he was sent home.

Speaking about how he found the experience he said; “I had a fantastic time” and his partner, Emily Barker was also full of praise; “He was brilliant. He’s never danced before in his life and he was very memorable.”
