Last night saw the return of the long awaited 5th season of Love Island.
While the first episode of 2019 did not disappoint, neither did the viewer’s reactions to the show.
The opening episode saw 10 islanders coupling up with one another, while the show later introduced two late arrivals, Dancing With The Star’s Curtis Pritchard and Tommy Fury – brother of boxing champion Tyson Fury.
During the ad breaks and in-between all of the drama, it appears that twitter was the place to be.
Fans took to their accounts to express their thoughts and feelings on the opening episode.
While fans were hailing ‘It is what it is’ as 2019’s catchphrase, others were less keen to get on board with surfer girl Lucie’s favourite word ‘bevy’.

As Anton created a love triangle within mere hours of being in the villa, people were quick to share their harsh feelings towards him.

Viewers of the show could not get enough of Meath native Yewande. Doing the country proud, fans are now hailing her as one of the most popular contestants in the villa.
Yewande’s accent I can listen to it all day KEEP THE CAMERA’S ON HER #LoveIsland — lew (@lookingforlewys) June 3, 2019
Yewande is the most stunning, down to earth girl in the villa, so glad to have her repping for the Irish girls!!
