Fans were devastated when Rory Cowan announced he was leaving Mrs Brown’s Boys this summer.
The actor admitted that he was no longer happy with the long hours and touring.
“I feel that 26 years is enough so I decided it was time to go. I told Brendan on June 16 about my decision to leave. That’s when I handed in my notice,” he told the Mail back in July.
Show creator Brendan O’Carroll revealed that Rory’s character of the same name would be replaced rather than written out.
The big reveal will take place on the Christmas special which will follow the story of Rory getting plastic surgery.
