Greg O’Shea temporarily left the Love Island villa this week to attend a family funeral.
The rugby star, who’s currently coupled up with Amber Gill on the show, returned to Ireland on Monday following the passing of his grandmother.
Speaking to Limerick Live 95, his father said, “Greg is a very good family man and his mother wanted to make sure he was there because himself and his Nan, got on well.”
Greg was only away for one day, and has since returned to the Spanish island.
A spokesperson for the reality series told Digital Spy: “Owing to a bereavement, at the wishes of his family, Greg was away from the villa for a day to attend a funeral.
“Everyone at Love Island extends their sympathies to Greg and his family and we have since welcomed him back to the villa.”
