Muireann O’Connell has landed a brand new show on Virgin Media with Greg O’Shea.
The pair have teamed up for an exciting new entertainment series, with a focus on rugby.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, Muireann said, “I’m absolutely delighted. It’s combining two things I’ve always enjoyed; rugby and chatting to people.
“It’ll be a good laugh. I’m looking forward to getting going now.”
The telly star continued, “I’m really looking forward to it. In my head, it’s just two Limerick people chatting away together.
“We grew up in the same place. He’s younger than I am. It’s nice to have that shared sense of community.”
While the pair didn’t meet before embarking on this new journey together, Muireann knows his family – and hopes he’s as nice as them.
“This is a new thing for us, but I’ve met his sister,” she told us.
“She was very good when he was on Love Island and she did something for us. If he’s anything like Laura, it’s going to be great craic.”
Greg got into the world of broadcasting late last year when he worked on RTE 2FM with Doireann Garrihy.
Muireann gushed, “He did a great job on that. They’re very big shoes to step into, because it’s a massive show. He seems like a very hard worker.”
Muireann, who parted ways with Today FM in 2019, will continue to present the Six O’Clock Show with Martin King as well as hosting The Late Tackle.
