Graham Norton has shocked fans by announcing that he has quit Twitter.
The chat show host, who has over 1.2 million followers, made the announcement on his Radio 2 show.
The fifty three year old said that he’s done with Twitter and finds Facebook to be a better social media forum.
He said, “I prefer Facebook because I have real friends there who agree with me. But on Twitter, not so much.
“I have kind of fallen out of love with Twitter. It’s not a happy world so I have left it.”
The Irish star also went on to say that he was unhappy with the way the gay community treat men with feminine mannerisms on Twitter.
“I was just an effeminate little boy who turned into an effeminate man. And I think you still see little boys now and think, ‘Aw, he’s so going to be gay!’
“And that’s something that just seems to appear in nature, it just seems to happen.
“I think it’s weird that there is a section of the gay community that then judges those little boys. All that kind of stuff is just heartbreaking.”
Graham admitted that he hadn’t been active on Twitter since 22nd June however, he does have an automated post that links to his regular column in The Daily Telegraph.
Although we’re very sad to see Graham leave Twitter at least we’ll be able to keep up to date with his antics on Facebook!
