Dublin’s Henry Street has been without a music shop for a number of weeks since the closure of HMV. However, this is set to change next week as Golden Discs will open its doors. A top Irish band will play an intimate gig for fans to mark the occasion.
On Thursday October 27th Golden Discs will launch at 18 Henry Street, where HMV used to be, and to celebrate they’re having The Riptide Movement to play a free gig in store from 6pm.
The good news keeps on coming as 20 staff members will be hired to work in the new shop, and there is to be an announcement later this month detailing further store openings.
How amazing is this?
