Glen Hansard has invited fans to celebrate his 50th birthday with him!
The Dublin singer is set to host a virtual party tonight on Instagram Live to mark the milestone birthday.
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, a virtual meetup is the only celebration available to Glen at the moment, who seems to be taking it in his stride.
“I’m turning 50, come join me for a glass, a song, and a story,” he told his followers.
Fans of the musician took to Instagram to comment on their disbelief that Glen is turning 50 today, with artist Colin Davidson writing: “Ah you’re not turning 50! I painted you for the first time when you were about to turn 40.”
Elsewhere, another fan admitted: “Wouldn’t think of missing this celebration! Viva la musica!”
Glen’s birthday celebration comes shortly after his involvement in Magic Night’s Live From Quarantine, a virtual concert festival in aid of the Frontline Responders Fund.
The gig took place last Sunday, with participants managing to raise vital funds for frontline hospital workers.
Glen was joined by artists such as The Lumineers, Jason Mraz, David Blaine and Woody Harrelson, all of whom took part in the festival.
