Gavin James has helped raise an incredible €160,000 for ALONE.
The singer appeared on the Late Late Show on Friday to perform Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and asked viewers to donate anything they could to the Irish charity, which supports older people at home.
ALONE Ireland received a staggering number of donations, and Gavin is overwhelmed by the response.
Taking to social media he said, “I’m so amazed at the generosity of our country.
“Even when everything seems so bleak, we still lend a helping hand. You’re all amazing.”
Miriam O’Callaghan, who hosted the show on Friday night said, “You were superb Gavin. Thank you so much for being there.
“You raised an incredible amount of money for ALONE. Forever grateful.”
