Legendary singer Garth Brooks has shared how a couple welcomed their daughter into the world just hours after they had attended his Dublin gig last week.
The Irish Mirror shared how the couple went to one of Garth’s sold-out nights and unexpectedly came home with a new addition to their family.
Chatting with them, Rebecca said how she felt a couple of ‘pains’ during the gig last Sunday but didn’t give it much thought as her due date was a week away.
Just hours after the gig, Rebecca went into labor and welcomed a little girl into the world. Revealing her name, ‘Bonnie’ the couple decided it was only right to give Garth a nod with her middle name ‘Brooke’.
Now, sharing his well-wishes with the couple, Garth said:
“I am the luckiest, most blessed person on this earth. Wishing health and happiness to the new family”
Garth’s performance was an emotional one for him. A long time coming, Garth took in everything the country had to offer during his time here, and praised the Irish people for their ‘kindness’.
“Some countries excel in some things. You excel in being sweet to each other and kind to people who visit,” he said.
“I just love playing here. Once you have tasted it here, you can’t come back here quick enough”
“Thank you for loving me!”
