Little Mix have been targeted by social media trolls after announcing that they will have to reschedule their Belfast gigs. Band member Jesy Nelson became unwell and was unable to perform the group’s Northern Ireland concerts.
A statement was announced by a Little Mix representative yesterday, which read: “Little Mix have unfortunately had to cancel both of their Arena shows in Belfast today. Sadly Jesy is unwell and unable to sing, and as a result both the matinee and evening shows are cancelled.
“Little Mix would like to apologise to their fans. Ticket holders should hold on to their tickets and await further news.”
Fans were furious when the news broke and many of them took to social media to post hurtful comments, aimed at Jesy. Some had extremely harsh words and went as far as saying “kill your f**king self”.
Others commented on Instagram saying that cancelling the gigs was unfair to do to their young fans and that the band could have performed as a trio.
“We were going to your concert today went to the door THEY SAID IT WAS CANCELLED, because you were sick, sick my bum could the other three not play like the little ones would not care if there was three like OMG waste of money and time there was children crying outside,” one wrote.
Thankfully some loyal Little Mix fans came to their defence in an effort to stop the hate, insisting that the band wouldn’t have cancelled the performance if something wasn’t seriously wrong.
