Christmas means that our presses and fridge are overflowing with food.
And usually, it’s with stuff we never actually use. So what should we have in our freezers!
Here are Irish food blogger Catriona Redmond’s top freezer tips for the holiday season.
- Frozen vegetables. Peas and sweetcorn in particular are actually better frozen than fresh because of the way they are harvested.
- Frozen pizza for the day that you have reached overload on traditional Christmas goods. Quick and easy to prepare, and always a crowd pleaser.
- Cocktail sausages and spring rolls just in case you have unexpected visitors. They don’t take long to cook from the freezer and you’ll have plenty of food for a party in less than an hour.
