Four Irish charities helping Gaza during the ceasefire

Earlier this month, Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza with Hamas. Former American President Joe Biden has said the agreement will “halt the fighting in Gaza, surge much humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians, and reunite the hostages with their families after more than 15 months in captivity”.

While this was a much-needed breakthrough in the conflict, help is still much needed for the people affected.

70 per cent of Northern Gaza is close to famine, nine out of 10 people have been displaced and there is no functioning health care system.

Here is how you can help.
