As we know, June is pride month which means this month there are an array of exciting events to kick off your pride celebrations.
Dublin is a hive of events for the occasion and we have put together a list of some of the exciting events taking place in Dublin this June.
Pride Parade
Pride wouldn’t be complete without the iconic pride parade but this year it is even more special!
Dublin Pride has announced that the theme for 2023 is ‘Protest. Remember. Celebrate.’
This year’s pride parade is all about history, 2023 marks a series of milestone anniversaries for the history of LGBTQ+ activism in Ireland.
It was 50 years ago that the first Irish LGBTQ+ group, the Sexual Liberation Movement, was established at Trinity College. Alongside activists taking the streets of Dublin for the groundbreaking march to Fairview Park 40 years ago this year too.
2023 also marks the 30th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Ireland.
if you want to participate in the parade this year all you have to do is show up and join the march! Why not invite your friends and family too?
The 40th Anniversary Dublin Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 24th, 2023.

Absolut X Mother
Absolut announce their first-ever Pride party in association with Mother. Pride Absolut X will take place at the Button Factory on Friday 23rd of June, from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
Absolut and Mother aim to create a safe, inclusive, and immersive experience with Absolut Made to Mix cocktails, clubbing and non-stop bangers from Mother DJs.
The lineup will include festival favourite, Ghostboy, with over a decade of DJ-ing at Mother under his belt, as well as the inimitable Kelly-Anne Byrne and 2FM and BBC DJ, Tara Kumar.

Token Straight – Dublin Pride Special
To celebrate Dublin Pride cult Queer comedy night, Token Straight presents a special Pride performance featuring Ireland’s top queer comics.
Including Shane Daniel Byrne, a writer, actor, MC and award-winning stand-up comedian who has also appeared in the prestigious and world-famous ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ competition.
Lolsy Byrne, an award-winning stand-up and one of the stars of the TRY Channel, gained hundreds of millions of views with their “Irish People Try…” videos.
Felix O’Connor takes the absurdity of the trans experience and melds it with regular absurdity, cheeky sex stories and biting social commentary as well as the co-founder of Hysteria Comedy and Token Straight, and host of the Not Trans Trans Movies podcast.
Allie O’Rourke is an award-winning transgender stand-up comedian, ctor and screenwriter. She has performed across Ireland, the UK and the USA showcasing her unique brand.
It will take place in The Sugar Club and tickets are starting at €17.50.
QueerMania Presents… PRIDEMANIA 2!
QueerMania is returning and right in time for Pride, lucky us!
This is an LGBTQ+ event night showcasing all forms of Queer Talent. The night is filled with drag, live music and burlesque.
QueerMania’s co-founder Jack O’Connor gives us a night packed full of an extraordinary lineup of artists to keep you entertained for the whole night.
With a lineup of some well-known performers such as such as Dylan Jordan, Fierce Injection, Jaded, Jack Madden, Kora Elle and Queerovision winner iVaa C. Lumia this is certainly set to be a wild night.
Taking place in The Sound House on Thursday 22 Jun and will run from 19:30 – 23:00, A limited amount of Early Bird tickets are available for €12.50 each, with General Admission tickets available at €15 each once Early Birds sell out.
Pride Disco Drag Brunch
Why not start the celebrations early with this daytime party?
Featuring disco and house music supplied by Conor Behan and live performances by Viola Gayvis, Naomi Diamond and Liam Bee.
The tickets include both a dish as well as a cocktails from their brunch menu.
The brunch can accommodate large bookings and parties and tables can be purchased for groups of any size.
The brunch will take place at 12- 4pm on the 24th of June at The Well beside Stephens green.
