Happy Pride Month! Dublin is gearing up for the ten-day-long festivities.

The first Dublin Gay Rights Demonstration took place on the 27th of June 1974. To celebrate 50 years of Dublin Pride we’ve compiled a list of five events to attend this Pride Month.

Up to 60,000 people are set to participate in this year’s LGBTQ+ Pride Parade. You don’t want to miss out!

Mother Pride Block Party 2023 (Fri & Sat) – Dublin

The Mother Pride Block Party is back with a bang for a spectacular party celebrating Pride in our city.

And is one not to be missed!

With performances from COBRAH!, Princess Superstar, Robin S, Sasha Velour and Blu Hydrangea, it’s going to be incredible!

Boyfriends

This play runs from June 26th to July 6th.

The synopsis reads: “Following a three-month affair between two anonymous men, Boyfriends, charts the ups and downs and roundabouts of a modern situationship.

“As they swing through four million one hundred and ninety-one thousand possibilities of what they might mean to one another, through time, sex, Madonna songs, nightclubs, period dramas and calorie counting, Boyfriends asks us to ponder on that age old question: what the f*ck is romance anyway?”

Pride Village Merrion Square

An event that is a mainstay every year is Pride Village.

There will be performances, food stalls and fun events within the village.

This is also where the Pride parade will end up!

Dyke Night

Join Dublin Pride and Dublin Lesbian Line at Bow Lane on Friday, June 28th, for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and dancing.

With a variety show bringing some of the best queer talent Ireland has to offer followed by dancing until the early hours.

So fun!

SHINE

The Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride Festival in collaboration with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra presents a performance to celebrate, commemorate, support and applaud the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland and beyond.

This event will promote human rights, resilience to overcoming obstacles, and what we now know as diversity and inclusivity.

How incredible!
