First look: Barry Keoghan teams up with all-star cast in new thriller “Crime 101”

Irish star Barry Keoghan is back on the big screen — and he’s not playing nice this time.

Esquire has just released a first look at Crime 101, and it’s packed with Hollywood heavyweights.

Yes, alongside Barry, the film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, and Monica Barbaro, talk about an all-star cast!

Directed by Bart Layton, the man behind American Animals (which also starred Barry), Crime 101 is based on Don Winslow’s bestselling short story.

The plot follows a string of unsolved high-end jewellery heists along California’s Pacific Coast Highway.

Police believe it’s the work of Colombian cartels, but detective Lou Lubesnik (played by Ruffalo) isn’t buying it. He thinks just one man is behind it all, a lone-wolf thief named Davis (Hemsworth).

Davis is a smooth operator planning one last big job before he calls it quits. But when he crosses paths with Sharon (Berry), a bored insurance exec who gets drawn into his dangerous world, everything starts to unravel.

Barry plays Ormon, Davis’s icy rival thief who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.

It’s another dark, magnetic role for the Dublin actor, who’s been on a roll since Saltburn and his Oscar-nominated turn in The Banshees of Inisherin.

Also joining the cast are Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte, so expect plenty of star power on screen.

Crime 101 hits cinemas on February 13, 2026 via, just in time for Valentine’s week, though it looks like this one will be full of danger, not romance…
