There’s a brand new reality series on the way, and with Graham Norton at the helm, we already know it’s going to be good.
Viewers are getting their first look at The Neighbourhood, the brand new “high-stakes” gameshow that’s set to shake up reality TV as we know it.
Airing on Virgin Media One later this month, Irish audiences will be introduced to six real households from across the UK as they move into a street aptly named ‘KeepYourEnemies Close’.
And yes, things are exactly as dramatic as they sound.
Blending intense competition with all the chaos of everyday life, the show will see neighbours not only living side by side, but going head-to-head in a street-wide popularity contest.
The prize? A life-changing £250,000.
But this isn’t your typical reality show.
Contestants will eat, sleep and socialise together 24/7, all while competing in challenges designed to test relationships and stir up tension.
And in a twist that’s sure to keep viewers hooked, they’ll ultimately be voting each other out, meaning strategy is just as important as staying likeable.
Speaking about the series, Graham shared his excitement for the unique format, admitting: “Like everyone, I’m always intrigued by what goes on behind closed doors.
“Add to that some dastardly challenges and a life-changing prize, and I’m hooked.”
