The filming of Star Wars has been delayed in Donegal, as apparently the blue skies and blistering sun has caused some issues.
Episode 8 of the franchise, which stars Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill, is currently being shot at Malin Head, and much to the filmmakers disappointment, they were hit with some serious sunshine, when all they needed was rain.
Film makers were been forced to bring in rain machines to shoot the new Star Wars movie in Donegal this weekend, as the weather was simply too good.

The Irish Examiner has reported that 20 water tanks were needed in order to make the rain look realistic – however any other week they could have shot naturally.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew are heading to Cork and Kerry over the next few days to begin shooting other scenes.
