The trailer for Fifty Shades Darker was released on Wednesday morning and since then, it’s become the most viewed trailer online in the first 24 hours.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the film adaptation of the second book since the release of the first movie, Fifty Shades of Grey in 2015 -and it appears they have not been disappointed!
According to Universal, the first official trailer for Fifty Shades Darker was viewed online 114 million times in the past 24 hours.
The trailer was released at 8am on Wednesday morning and since then it has been viewed 39.4 million times in North America, but the majority of views came from over 32 international markets, including the U.K., Mexico and France, where the sneak peak into the film received 74.6 million official views.
Unfortunately, fans have a long wait ahead of them before they get to see the full movie, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, as it’s not set to be realeased in Ireland until 10th February.
If the sensational trailer is anything to go by -it’ll definitely be worth the wait!
