Since the beginning of the pandemic we have seen countless initiatives raising money for charity, many of them creative.
Many charities have been unable to run their usual fundraisers due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Without the funding it is difficult for many of them to continue providing their services, so we have seen countless fundraisers online, to raise money in lots of different ways.
Some charities have seen the need for their services go up in lockdown, especially those that focus on domestic abuse. Safe Ireland have reported a rise in domestic abuse by 25% since lockdown, and need funding for their vital services more than ever.

A collective called Irish Women in Harmony have released a cover of The Cranberries hit song ‘Dreams.’ All filmed and recorded via video link, it’s a stunning rendition of the song and all proceeds of the cover go towards Safe Ireland.
The video has been shared everywhere on social media, which also calls for people to donate to the charity too.
The collective, which features 39 singers and musicians, includes some of our favourite Irish artists including Imelda May, Lisa Hannigan, Una Healy and Wyvern Lingo.
The song also features many up and coming Irish artists like Pillow Queens, Emma Langford, Moya Brennan and Melina Malone.
