When the news came that this year’s The Olympia Panto was going digital, panto fans across Ireland were delighted. Now, Fair City actor Ryan Andrews who’s starring in the panto has been left on crutches after a nasty accident just before the panto is due to be recorded.
Ryan shared his injury on Instagram, showing the strapped up foot and while not giving away the details of what happened at the time, he said “the show must go on”.
Friends and fans were quick to rush to the comments, with some of his co-stars joking with Ryan. Alan Hughes wrote, “Ah jasus mr what happened ? anything to get out of those dance routines”, while James Patrice commented, “NO BETTER MAN”.
This year’s panto is titled ‘Once Upon A Time A Panto’, and will be digitally streamed from the 23rd of December to 03rd of January.
The show, which will feature everything from giant beanstalks to magic carpets, will be recorded in The Olympia and is set to include a whole host of famous faces.
