Fair City star Rodrigo Ternevoy has shared his delight as he officially returned to the set of the RTE soap for the first time in almost eight months.
The actor plays the much-loved role of Christiano in the show, but hasn’t been in the studio since March.
Posing on the set, Rodrigo revealed, “It feels so good to be back in Carrigstown!”
Filming for the show shut down in March of this year as the entire country went into lockdown.
Following special guidelines and strict social distancing measures, filming resumed in August – much to the delight of the cast, crew and viewers at home.
Brigie deCourcy, Series Producer, said: “It was our priority that these systems were in place before committing to a return date so that we could protect the health and well-being of our actors, writers, directors and crew.
“We have been eager to get back to production, but the priority was the health and safety of the whole team. Everyone is delighted that we are now in a position to get back to telling stories and bringing fun and chaos back to Carrigstown.”
We’re glad it’s back on our screens.
