Fair City star Dave O’Sullivan has announced the arrival of his first child.
Dave’s partner Kim gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this morning, and both mum and the tiny tot are said to be doing well.
Sharing the first glimpse of his son, Dave revealed he’s overcome with emotion and pride.
“I still can’t quite believe what happened today,” he said. “I became a father. I can’t quite get my head around it.
“I know this kid four hours and more than I could have imagined.”
He went on to day, “Our lives start today. This little ‘yet-to-be-titled’ bundle of joy arrived naturally in the Rotunda Hospital at 9.23am, two weeks early, weighing 7lbs 15oz.
“Today, my better half showed me the true meaning of the words bravery and strenght, and I can’t thank her enough for how she handled it. She was a trojan.
“Everyone is happy and healthy, and I couldn’t be more thankful to the angels and saints of this amazing hospital.”
Dave announced their baby joy over the summer.
“So while everyone knows I’m mad about Christmas, this year its gonna be an extra special one. Roll on December. Can’t come quick enough.”
