Fair City stars have shared emotional tributes to their colleague Karl Sheils who passed away over the weekend.
The 47-year-old, best known for his role as Robbie Quinn on the popular RTE soap, died suddenly on Sunday night, his agent confirmed.
Remembering their good friend, the cast of Fair City have been paying their respects to the late star.
Sharing a picture of the pair on set, Eric Lalor said, “Devastated to hear of the passing of Karl.
“A hugely gifted actor and a truly great friend. I loved our scenes together, I will miss him so much. May he rest in peace.”
Clelia Murphy added, “There really are no words, RIP.”
Jenny Dixon, who left the show last year, said, “Very sad news. A big character, on and off screen.
“A lovable rogue and heart of gold. Always there with a hug and kind words. Can’t believe I’m writing this.
“It was an honour to work with you and to know you as a friend. You’re missed already….”
Johnny Ward said, “ Completely stunned and broken-hearted to hear of the passing of this absolute gent.
“This man had the most incredible photographic memory and could look at a script once and he would be able to deliver. You will be missed.”
George McMahon wrote, “Heartbroken. A beautiful genius.”
