Fair City star, Ben Condron has revealed the happy news that he and his partner, Rachel, have welcomed their second child into the world.
Sharing the news to social media alongside some gorgeous snaps he said; “After a long few weeks my beautiful fiancé gave birth to our beautiful daughter Willow today weighing 9lb 10oz.”
“You did absolutely amazing @rachie_b_mua I’m so proud of you, and me and Bonnie can’t wait to have you and baby Willow home soon for loads and loads of snuggles love you to the moon and back xox”
The happy couple announced their pregnancy news in January of this year, and are already parents to another girl, Bonnie.
Ben revealed that while he and Rachel are obviously over the moon – it’s little Bonnie who was counting down the days until her baby brother or sister arrives.
“We’re due in July so my daughter’s mainly excited about that over anything. I can’t wait,” he said on Dublin’s Q102.
He admits that while the pandemic has caused some worries, those around Ben and his family, have been incredibly careful.
“It’s quite scary but I suppose our bubble’s very small at home and we live in the countryside so that’s nice,” he said.
“In RTE it’s been great, everyone’s been very conscientious. Everything’s been really safe so I haven’t felt too at risk.”
As the country went into lockdown in 2020 and life slowed down, Ben was able to spend much more time with his family and watch his little girl grow up – something he’s very grateful for.
“I’m really loving the down time and the family time at the moment,” he said. “They grow so fast. Time is precious it’s the one thing you can’t get back.”
