Following the tragic passing of Fair City’s Karl Shiels earlier this summer, the final scenes surrounding his character Robbie Quinn are airing this week.
Last night’s show was particularly emotional, as his on-screen wife Carol learned of her partner’s death.
Overcome with grief, actress Aisling O’Neill burst into flood of tears and viewers were awestruck by her performance.
Taking to social media, fans of the show shared their adoration with the star as she dealt with the tragic storyline.

There aren’t enough words that can say how wonderful Aisling O’Neill is as an actress. She is spectacular in this storyline and one that must be incredibly hard to film. #faircity
