Fans were left devastated following last night’s episode of Fair City.
Dermot Fahey has had a turbulent few months, however his hectic lifestyle has been wrecking havoc on his health.
During last night’s episode, Dermot received some heartbreaking news, as he was told that he has cancer, and things have become so bad, that only a liver transplant will save him.
Fans were left reeling after the shocking diagnosis, and took to social media to share their views.
One user said, “Good episode tonight. Poor Dermot, as I said to the family tonight, Fair City really is better than Corrie at the moment.” While another commented, “Just watched Fair City. Pulled at the heart strings.”
Viewers are devastated at the thoughts of Dermot leaving the show, and hope that this won’t be the end of the adored character on the soap.
“I am really hoping that they don’t write the character of Dermot out. He is much loved by so many,” wrote one fan, as another tweeted, “No, not Dermot! Brilliant scene between Dermot and Robbie.”
