RTE star Miriam O’Callaghan has opened up about herself and husband, Steve Carson’s, relationship. The Prime Time host has revealed exclusively to VIP Magazine that she is the wilder of the two!
The mum-of-eight has been married to her hubby for 16 years, and joked that he has very few traits that annoy her. There are no irritating toilet-seat-up or socks-on-the-floor issues in their marriage.
When quizzed, Miriam revealed that Steve isn’t a rule breaker, and that she is in fact the rebellious one of the two.
“For instance he’ll never break a rule. I will by and large park anywhere and hope it will be alright. That is if I’m going in somewhere very briefly and I can keep an eye on it, of course! He would never ever,” she said.
As well as being somewhat unruly, the 56-year-old admitted to being the slightly more annoying one in her relationship – not that we think so. This is mainly by being too positive. She also enjoys eating toast in bed, which Steve hates!
“I think I am annoying in so many ways. I am so black and white and have very definite views. I think being endlessly positive is a very annoying trait too. Being positive can be a very annoying trait! At times it drives my kids mad.
“I love eating toast in bed! Steve hates crumbs in the bed. He’s a very straight person, but in a positive way; he’s very upright,” she said.
Saturday Night with Miriam returns to our screens this Saturday at 9:45pm on RTE One. This week Miriam will meet some legendary Irish football fans, RTE news reader Una O’Hagan and her husband Colm Keane, along with Philomena Begly and Cliona Hagan.
