Huge congratulations to Holly Carpenter and Jamie Hunt, who tied the knot during a romantic ceremony at Le Domaine du Baulieu in Auch, France.
Here, they share their special day with us…
“Jamie and I met back in October 2020. We were in lockdown at the time but restaurants were open for outdoor dining. We had our first date in Charlotte Quay restaurant which is where we had an intimate legal ceremony with family back in May of this year. We were both smitten from the get-go and I knew early on that this relationship was different,” Holly tells us.
“My dad Karl did an exchange to a small town in France when he was in secondary school. He kept in touch with the family throughout his life and growing up I felt like I had a set of French grandparents who we would visit. I even took my first steps as a baby in their garden.
“Dad went on to buy a house in the village (Vic en Bigorre) and Jamie and I flew there to spend a week with my parents. We looked for wedding venues and were immediately sold on this one!”
She goes on to say: “Our first dance was to Robbie Williams’ ‘She’s the One’. We went for dance lessons in Viva School of Dance in Fairview and after just two lessons we had a simple dance routine with a lift at the end.”
How beautiful!
“After the ceremony we made a big entrance into our dining room with ‘Can’t Stop’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers blaring, cold flame lights and all of our friends were up on their seats swinging napkins. It was such an adrenaline rush and a crazy feeling seeing everyone we love in one room. I’ll never forget it!”
