After 13 years of marriage, Daniel and Majella O’Donnell have revealed the secrets behind their perfect relationship: hidden love notes.
Yes, you read that right. The duo believe the key to a long lasting relationship is a bit of spontaneity and the odd love note left in a hidden place – how cute?!
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine, Daniel said, “We leave wee notes in places you might not find for three or four days”
Seeing as the couple are apart so much these days, what with Daniel being so busy rehearsing for Strictly Come Dancing, the pair like to leave each other sweet little messages.
“Being in London for Strictly, while Majella’s in Tenerife a lot, I have got things in my bags and the strangest of places wishing me good luck and all that sort,” he said.
Majella added, “He found one from me in the fridge last night when he went to get his dinner.”
The couple have planned some much needed alone time for when Daniel’s finished on Strictly and are heading off a four month cruise which will see them travel from LA to the likes of Bora Bora, India and Australia.
“It’s a once in a lifetime thing, but actually I am getting more nervous as the time approaches. Four months at sea – I hope it’s not too long,” said Majella.
It won’t be too long for Daniel however, as he plans to sweep Majella off her feet and show off his new found dancing skills to all his fellow cruise-goers.
“Oh by God, I tell you I’ll be on the floor all the time,” he admitted.
