Earlier today, it was reported that Hozier was due to play a huge gig in Dublin’s City Centre this evening. However, it has transpired that this isn’t true.
It was previously claimed that the singer, along with a host of other famous Irish musicians, would be taking to the stage in Dublin Castle later on, but a representative for the star has exclusively told VIP that this is false – in fact, he’s not even in the country!
A spokesperson said: “Hozier was never playing Dublin Castle. He’s in LA promoting a single from the Tarzan soundtrack.”
Fans have been left hugely disappointed by the news, but the concert will still be going ahead, with musicians including Seo Linn, The Chieftans and Mundy taking to the stage.
The gig will be attended by US Vice President Joe Bidden, who has been visiting Ireland for the past few days. Joe has been spending his time with Enda Kenny and Michael D. Higgins participating in meetings, so the concert will be a welcome break from work for the US politician.
The gig will be taking place at 3pm today, and will be hosted by The Late Late Show presenter Ryan Tubridy.
