Bonnie Ryan, now known as Bonnie, has had a whirlwind week since performing her debut single on The Ray D’Arcy Show last weekend. This was the first time her song was heard by the public, and the music video for the song, “I’m Out” was released too.
She told VIP that it’s been a busy week but the feedback to her song has been all that she could have hoped for.
“It’s been a hectic week but everything has been so good, the feedback has been positive and people seem to really be liking the song so to be honest the week couldn’t have gone any better,” she said.
The Dublin native started her music career almost ten years ago with girlband Lady Nada, but is now stepping out on her own as a pop/R&B artist. She hopes to bring something different and fun to the Irish music scene because there is a gap in the market for someone like her.
“I just want people to enjoy the music that I’m making, I think what I’m doing is a little bit different to anything that we have in Ireland at the moment so I think that’s exciting, I don’t think there’s anyone in the market here now that’s like me, so I’m trying to be something different and fun, and I hope people enjoy it.”
There is a lot in the pipeline for Bonnie as she is writing and recording new music for her EP at the moment – which we can’t wait to hear!
“I hope that I’m Out will be peoples summer song, I’m also writing and recording other songs at the moment too and I’m working on my EP; there’s a lot going on at the moment,” she said.
