Christmas officially starts once the city is lit up in festive lights. This year is a procession of light that will illuminate the entire city with one magical Christmas event on Sunday 19, November 2017 starting at 5.30pm.

This free event is the perfect opportunity to try out your skills, no matter what they may be. Whether you are a comedian, dancer, opera-singer, magician, singer-songwriter, or anything else for that matter head upstairs in one of Galway’s most popular pubs for a night of craic. In their own words: “Our primary focus is to create a good atmosphere for people to come in and try out their ideas and to do so with encouragement.” Doors open at 8.30pm.

The brilliant comedian has spent the last year on tour round America with Flight of the Conchords and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival. Over Christmas he sold out a record-breaking eleven nights at Whelan’s, and has just completed his largest ever UK tour. This weekend he’s in Dolan’s in Limerick.
