Elaine Kinsella has finished up her stint as co-host of RTE’s Today Show after two weeks in the hot seat.

The broadcaster stepped in to cover Sinead Kennedy’s maternity leave, joining a number of fellow stars.

Blathnaid Treacy kicked off the cover, hosting the show for a number of weeks in March, she was then followed by Rachel Allen, Una Healy and Elaine, too.

Bidding goodbye to the show, Elaine said, “I’ve had such a wonderful couple of weeks guest presenting RTE Today with the absolute gentleman Daithi O’Se, and a great crew!”

She continued, “Thank you for all the lovely messages. Rest assured I’m back in the gym gear today and even couldn’t find my hair brush this morning.

“I’m back on Radio Kerry at 7am tomorrow with lots of great music, competitions and chat.”

It’s not yet known who will be stepping into the role next – but we can’t wait to see.

The guest hosts are all doing a wonderful job, as Sinead Kennedy takes some time off to bond with her adorable daughter.

She welcomed her first child to the world in March with husband Conor Kirwan, and they’ve been settling into life as a family of three ever since.

Sharing a snap of her hubby carrying the baby out of the hospital, proud mum Sinead said, “Indie Kirwan is the most precious thing to have ever happened to us. We’re overcome with happiness and and are feeling extremely grateful. We’ll love you forever baby girl.”

Taking a moment to share her appreciation with doctors, midwives and nurses who looked after herself and Indie, she added, “Thank you so much to the incredible staff at CUMH for looking after us both so well.”

We wish the new family continued happiness.
