Elaine Crowley has revealed her unusual outlook on love. Despite being in a relationship, the TV3 presenter admits that she is afraid of commitment.
Although Elaine is very happy with her mystery man, she feels that fictional love stories have made her cynical and that happily ever after only exists in fairytales.
Speaking to the Herald the 39-year-old said, “It’s still early days yet, it’s barely been a year. I’m a bit of a commitment phobe, I still think I’m 23 in my head.
“I used to be romantic but I think Mills & Boon books ruined me, all that handsome prince stuff. I don’t think there is any such thing as happily ever after.
“You have to work at everything, especially if you’re going out with me because I’m a nightmare.”
Elaine previously revealed that she’ll be keeping the identity of her boyfriend private, and that what they have is different from any of her past relationships.
