Elaine Crowley has said goodbye to Midday as the show’s last episode aired today.
Midday was first broadcast on TV3 in 2008 and has been one of Ireland’s most popular daytime programmes ever since.
Last week, it was revealed that TV3 bosses are making a number of changes to three of their flagship shows, Ireland AM, Xpose and Midday.
Midday is being renamed to Elaine and moving from it’s usual 11.30am slot to 3pm.
The show’s former slot will be filled by with an Irish version Loose Women, which TV3 has just bought he rights to.
Today, the seasoned host bid farewell to the show she’s been a part of for eight years.
Taking to Twitter she said, “So that’s a wrap… Thanks to my wonderful pannelists and to the lovely @tv3midday viewers.. It’s been amazing. Over and out… #byebye.”
We’ll definitely miss our daily dose of Midday, but we can’t wait to see what Elaine has in store for us with her new afternoon show!
