Some very lucky folks were serenaded by Ed Sheeran in an intimate Whelan’s gig last night, ahead of his Croke Park performances.
Ed arrived in Dublin yesterday and 25 fans were invited to a small and secret party where they could listen to the Thinking Out Loud Star sing in a very intimate environment.
The extremely lucky fans won a competition with Australian radio station Nova, and have been flown around the globe to hear the 24-year-old sing, already attending shows in London and Dubai.
They were joined last night by forty other people in Whelan’s – all industry insiders – and it’s rumoured that Ed sang for a whole hour over schedule.
Among the gig-goers were RTE star Eoghan McDermott and his model girlfriend Jo Archbold, who seemed to definitely enjoy the show!
His two impending gigs in Croke Park have been completely sold out for weeks now, but the down-to-earth star made time for his most devout supporters at his live gig last night.
Ed has always been open about his love for Ireland and Whelan’s is one of his favourite places to perform.
We can’t wait to hear all about the weekend shows and we’re pretty excited to see if a certain Fade Street star in the form of Louise Johnson decides to makes an appearance…
