Ed Sheeran has made no secret of his admiration for Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, who was one of the thousands of attendees at his highly anticipated 3Arena dates this week.
The Brooklyn actress is a big fan of the Shape of You singer, and she was pictured outside the 3Arena for the first of his sold out gigs. However, her feelings of admiration for Ed are clearly reciprocated, as he has publicly praised her, saying she’s a “phenomenal talent”.
In fact, he’s such a huge fan of hers that he asked her to star in his Galway Girl video – and he was completely blown away by the performance she gave!
“Saoirse is a phenomenal talent,” he told RTÉ 2FM’s Eoghan McDermott show.
“Off-screen, she’s normal and just a cool person. Then as soon as the camera goes on she just turns. It’s amazing to watch. I’ve never really seen an actor or actress that good.
“It’s kind of weird because I was shooting some of the video myself, there are some points when I’m holding the camera and she just… off screen is normal and just like a cool person then as soon as the camera goes on she just turns… it’s amazing to watch.”
