Ed Sheeran has landed a major film role in director Danny Boyle’s upcoming feature.
The Thinking Out Loud singer will be playing himself in the movie, which tells the story of a man who wakes up realising he is the only person on earth who remembers The Beatles.
Due for release in 2019, the worldwide superstar revealed that his filming is wrapped, and gives an insight into the storyline.
“Then I discover him and take him on tour. Then he gets much, much bigger than me through doing stuff. Yeah, it’s very clever,” the star told Associated Press.
“I got to actually kind of learn how to act.… With the Game of Thrones thing, that was literally me popping in for a day and making a cameo. Or Bastard Executioner was me popping in for a day. But this was like full days on set, like full 12-hour days.”
Recently, the Galway Girl singer gave a major hint that he and fiancee Cherry Seaborn may have secretly tied the knot, after getting engaged at Christmas last year.
We can’t wait to see Ed on the big screen!
