How to keep your little ones entertained over the Easter Holidays

With two weeks off it is hard to fill up each day with fun activities, over here at VIP we have put together some ideas for you and your little ones!

Break away this Easter

The Easter escape at Sheen Falls Lodge – this is a perfect idea for a mid-week break for you and your family this Easter.

Guests can choose from a two-night or three-night stay, which includes an easter package filled with activities.

This package will also include a visit from the Easter Bunny and of course an egg hunt on the grounds!

For the kids, there is any amount of activities taking place, from treasure hunts to Easter cookie decorating.

Of course, this won’t cause as much frustration as the game itself, so sit back and relax with your friends or of course your kids over the Easter break.

Take a shopping break

If you fancy a look around the shops this week, bring the kids along and let them participate in a fun-filled day out!

Liffey Valley is offering free tickets to kids this Easter holidays to enjoy some workshops held in the Centre. There will also be a free Butlers Chocolate Easter egg for every kid. From face painting to decorating with Flying Tiger this is a perfect day out for you and the kids!

The workshops will run every half hour from 12 noon to 3:30pm. Make sure to claim your free ticket to avoid disappointment here.

Hop aboard the Easter Express


If you are looking to take a day trip away, why not head to Donegal over the Easter break! At Oakfield Park, kids can enjoy an open-air train ride to find the Easter Bunny.

We’ve all taken part in an egg hunt, so why not jump on the train and find the Easter Bunny? Of course, this is a perfect day out surrounded by nature, there will also be face painting and lots of surprises along the way!

This year Fota Wildlife is celebrating 40 years in business, so they have lots of activities planned for each occasion this year! Why not pack up the car and take a trip to Cork one of the days!

You can make the day even more fun by packing a picnic and stopping along the way! There will be workshops running over the Easter Holidays, and an egg hunt on Saturday and Easter Sunday.
